- technology
Ripkov Trade provides innovative and responsible solutions in the field of electronic waste recycling. The company processes a wide range of devices — from small electronics to industrial equipment. Everything that can be plugged into an outlet or contains a battery is given a new life through the company’s recycling operations.
Two Decades of Growth and Expansion in the Recycling Sector
Ripkov Trade, s.r.o. has been active in the field of electronic waste collection and processing since 2004. Over the years, the company has built a stable position on the market and today operates throughout the Czech Republic as well as in other European countries.
Full Control of the Product Life Cycle
Ripkov Trade approaches recycling from a broader perspective — the process does not begin only when waste is generated, but already at the moment a consumer decides to purchase a new product. At the end of a device’s life cycle, Ripkov Trade acts as a key partner ensuring its environmentally responsible and efficient processing. In this sense, the company symbolically “provides life after life” for used equipment.
Maximum Resource Utilization
Thanks to advanced technologies and professional know-how, the company is able to maximize output from minimal input. Residual metals are returned to industry, plastics find new applications in re-manufacturing or as alternative fuels, and other materials such as rubber, glass, and concrete are processed just as efficiently.
Impressive Capacities
Ripkov Trade processes up to 10,000 tons of electronic waste annually. This represents approximately 20 tons of material per day — equivalent to hundreds or thousands of devices such as microwave ovens, computers, electric motors, or printers.
Broad Client Portfolio
Ripkov Trade cooperates with a wide range of clients — from manufacturing companies, energy corporations, and IT firms to hospitals, schools, and public institutions. The company also serves as an important partner for recycling centers by helping process difficult-to-recycle fractions that would otherwise end up in landfills.
Education and Public Cooperation
An integral part of Ripkov Trade’s activities is educating the public about proper electronic waste management and the principles of the circular economy. The company is currently preparing broader cooperation with universities, schools, and public institutions to strengthen awareness and promote a responsible approach to the environment.
A Key Part of the Recycling System
The company also acts as a final processor for collective systems such as Elektrowin, Asekol, and REMA System. Within the waste management sector, it operates as an independent entity meeting even the strictest requirements of European legislation. All processes comply with WEEELABEX and CENELEC standards, ensuring maximum environmental responsibility.
Circular Economy in Practice
Within the framework of the circular economy, Ripkov Trade represents a modern alternative to incineration and landfilling through a sustainable approach. Companies and institutions can use the issued ecological disposal certificates as proof of their environmental responsibility.
Precise Processing Procedures
The recycling process itself begins with precise manual work by employees who identify and separate hazardous components, including batteries, already during material intake. This is followed by mechanical and automated processing — shredding and separation on modern lines using advanced technologies.
Employment and Meaningful Work
Ripkov Trade is also an important regional employer. The company offers job opportunities to people seeking meaningful work and wishing to be part of an industry with a real environmental impact. In an era of growing automation and artificial intelligence, the company maintains the essential human aspect of industry.
Adapting to the future
The rapid pace of technological development continuously changes the nature of waste and the requirements for its processing. Therefore, the company continuously innovates and adapts to new challenges in the recycling sector.
Symbolism and Reality
Although the company’s name was not originally connected to the legendary Mount Říp, the volume of processed material could at times rival its symbolic scale. The difference, however, is fundamental — while Mount Říp represents the past, Ripkov Trade represents the future of responsible waste management.
